Party Facts & Questions
Question: Where are the parties held?
Answer: We come to you! The party will take place at the location of your choice within the counties of Osceola, Orange and Seminole
Question: What do I need to have available at the party location?
Answer: The most important item to have is a large enough table to seat all of your guests. If your dining room/kitchen table isn't large enough you can substitute folding tables and chairs as long as your seated guests will be able to see and hear our instructions. Due to the fact the guests will be creating the recipes, they must have a sturdy table to work on. The more comfortable everyone is, the more enjoyable the party will be. Remember we will be using oils, butters, soap base, etc. so a tiled or hard floor is best in case of spills! A microwave may be needed depending on the product(s) being made
Question: If this is a birthday party, will it be ok to serve cake and open presents?
Answer: Definitely! However we do ask that you do so prior to the party or at the conclusion of the party. Just keep in mind that our instructors are on a time schedule and must keep it.
Question: What if fewer guests come than anticipated?
Answer: Our instructors have pre-measured quantities of ingredients based on the actual number of guests you have paid for. If fewer arrive, that is no problem, however we cannot refund you for missing guests unless you inform us 30 days in advance. If more guests arrive, they are welcome to observe the party. They will be unable to participate in the projects because there will be a limited amount of ingredients. Also, what slows a party down is additional questions, comments, and assistance needed. If a party slows too much then we won't be able to get to all of the activities. Your understanding of this is greatly appreciated.
Question: What if one of my guests might be allergic to something in the products?
Answer: If any of your guests are sensitive to scents or allergic to certain products, then this might not be the right activity for them.
Question: Will we receive instructions of the projects we make?
Answer: Certainly! Each guest will go home with the products they make as well as instructions on how to make it.
Question: Since the party will be for our young daughter and her friends, will we need to have adults present to help?
Answer: Depending on the age/maturity of the guests, you may want a few adults handy. We won't have the young girls handling hot liquids or unsafe ingredients, but the guests may want an adult to help make their projects. Keeping a few adults around in the event assistance is needed is a good idea, not to mention the adults might enjoy learning about the projects too!
Question: Why are the kids' parties less expensive?
Answer: We've created less expensive projects for our younger guests. For example, for an adult party we may be making the Blue Cornmeal Facial Scrub. This calls for several different oils that are fairly expensive. A kids party may just be a melt and pour item. We keep the kids parties simple to keep the cost down.
